Olisa Ndah: Nigerian defender wins Nedbank Cup with Orlando Pirates in South Africa

By Wale Mustapha
Olisa Ndah will be enjoying another cup success with Orlando Pirates this season following their 2-1 comeback victory over Sekhukhune United in the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday.
It is the second silverware in seven months for the Buccaneers after winning the Super 8 tourney back in November.
Sekhukhune stunned Pirates with the early goal through Sibusizo Vilakazi in the 12th minutes following an error in the Pirates’ defense.
Thapelo Xoki restored parity for the Buccaneers in the stoppage time of first half as he scored from the spot after Letsoalo handled the ball in the box.
Terrence Dzvukamanja stopped the game from going to extra time as he scored the winning goal for Orlando Pirates in the added minutes of the match with a brilliance finish.
Olisa Ndah missed the entertaining final played at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium as he’s yet to recover from injury that has ruled him out of action since February.
Pirates have also secured CAF Champions League football for next season after finishing second behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the Premier Soccer League.
Ndah was able to make just 17 appearances for Pirates across all competitions this campaign due to injury – with most of the games coming before the turn of the year.
He will be hoping for more successful season next time if he’s able to shake off the injury on time.
