Oluwatosin Demehin pens emotional farewell message to Stade de Reims

Nigeria defender Oluwatosin Demehin has shared a heartfelt farewell message to Stade de Reims as she prepares to depart the club.

After two seasons with Reims, Demehin is moving on before representing Nigeria at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

In her emotional post on social media, Demehin expressed gratitude to everyone associated with the club.

“After an amazing years & seasons in Reims, I want to thank everyone for the opportunity to share and be part of those moments with you,” she wrote.

She extended her thanks to the President, coaches, club staff, medical teams, and especially her teammates, who she now considers family.

“I want to thank the President, coaches, club staff, medical teams, and especially my teammates who have become family for the belief and hard work that resulted in an unforgettable championship.”

Demehin also acknowledged the fans for their support during both challenging and joyous times, adding, “Reims is a special place and now I understand what Remoises means.”

She concluded her message with well wishes for the team and a nod to her future, saying, “I wish everyone another successful and amazing season. Allér Rouge. Merci beaucoup pour tout @stadedereims.”

Demehin, who joined Reims from Rivers Angels ahead of the 2022/2023 season, has made 26 league appearances and scored one goal over her two seasons with the team.

Her next destination remains uncertain, but with a strong showing at the Olympics, it is anticipated that she will attract significant interest from clubs as the 2024/2025 season begins.
