An epic showdown awaits when the continent’s most successful team, Nigeria battle with reigning African champions South Africa in the final qualifying decider for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Banyana Banyana’s eight-match unbeaten run was halted by the Super Falcons in the first leg of this tie.
On the other hand, the Super Falcons extended their unbeaten run in a 90-minute match to 14 games with a win in Abuja.
With a place in the Paris Summer Olympics up for grabs, Desiree Ellis’ ladies will need to overturn a one-goal deficit to advance to the Olympic Games.
Meanwhile, the Super Falcons have never lost to Banyana Banyana on South African soil.
Both sides will meet for the 14th time on Tuesday and the Super Falcons have more wins against South Africa (7) than they have draws (2) and losses (4) combined.
The match will take place at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday, June 9. Kick-off time is 18:30 WAT.
This match will be broadcast on SABC Sport for South Africans, while Super Falcons fans can catch all the action live on NTA Sports 24.
