Paris 2024 Qualifiers: CAF appoints referees for Nigeria vs. South Africa clash in Abuja

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has finalized the referee appointments for the crucial fourth-round clash of the Paris 2024 Olympics Qualifiers between Nigeria’s senior women’s national team and their South African counterparts.
In the first leg of the encounter set to take place in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, Algerian referee Ghada Mehat will take charge.
She will be assisted by her compatriots Asma Feriel Ouahab and Lamia Atman, serving as assistant referee 1 and fourth official, respectively. Mariem Cheddad from Mauritania will serve as assistant referee 2, with former FIFA referee Fadouma Dia from Senegal as the referee assessor and Christine Ziga from Ghana as commissioner.
For the return leg in South Africa on April 9th, CAF has appointed Tunisian official Dorsaf Ganouati as the referee. She will be supported by Tunisian colleagues Houda Afine (assistant referee 1) and Emna Ajbouni (fourth official), along with Egyptian Yara Atef Abdelfattah as assistant referee 2.
Agar Mezing from Cameroon will serve as the referee assessor, while Cindy Dludlu from eSwatini will be the commissioner.
The Super Falcons secured their spot in the fourth round after defeating Cameroon 1-0 on aggregate in the third round. South Africa advanced by defeating Tanzania 4-0 over two legs.
The winner of the aggregate score will qualify for the women’s football event at the 2024 Olympics.
