Paris 2024: Super Falcons arrives Addis Ababa for Olympic qualifiers

Six players were present as Nigeria opened camp on Sunday ahead of Wednesday’s first leg, second round tie in the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers in Addis Ababa.
The six players were part of the arriving Nigeria delegation from Lagos alongside technical officials and NFF staff.
The home-based players will be joined by the foreign-based players for the away tie as the nation begin their quest to compete for the first time at the Olympic Games since Beijing 2008 in China.
Barcelona forward Asisat Oshoala, Michelle Alozie, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and other invited Super Falcons stars are expected to arrive in Addis Ababa, latest today (Monday), ahead of their Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Ethiopia on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, former Falconets star and current FC Robo Queens midfielder Esther Onyenezide and Esther Akudo Ogbonna were handed last last-minute invitations for the qualifiers against Ethiopia.
The first leg of the second-round fixture in Addis Ababa is on Wednesday, 25th October, while the return leg in Abuja holds on Tuesday, 31st October.
The winner over two legs will then face the winner of the match between Uganda and Cameroon in the next and final round.
Only two teams will be representing Africa in the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in France.
