Paris 2024: Super Falcons camp swell to 20 with arrival of Uchenna Kanu and Ihezuo

The camp of Nigeria’s senior women’s national team is bubbling with the arrival of Racing Louisville forward Uchenna Kanu and Pachuca star Chinwendu Ihezuo.

The duo arrives at the camp of the nine-time African champions in Sevilla, Spain on Thursday afternoon.

With their arrival, the number of players in camp increased to 20 players with two players expected to complete the roster.

They are Russian-based Chinonyerem Macleans and Oluwatosin Demehin.The two players are expected at the team’s Hot Barcelo Montecastillo Golf and Resort on Friday.

There is expected to be five days of work by coach Randy Waldrum ahead of next Wednesday’s friendly match against Olympic champions, Canada.

The top-ranked women’s football team in Africa will depart Spain for France, the country of the 2024 Olympics on July 18, 2024, a week before their group opener against Brazil at the Stade de Bordeaux.

They will also play world champions, Spain and 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners Japan in Group C.
