By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria international Peace Efih has penned an emotional farewell message to Portuguese top-flight side, Sporting Braga, as she departs the club at the end of the season after two years.

Efih took to her Facebook page to express her gratitude and to announce her exit from the team.

“Saying goodbye isn’t easy but it’s a necessary part of the journey,” she posted. “Thank you SC Braga Femenino. I wish the team all the best in their future endeavor.”

Efih joined Braga in 2022 from Israel’s women’s top-flight side, Maccabi Kiryat Gat, after winning the league title with them. During her tenure at Braga, she managed to score a goal in the Portuguese Super Cup.

Before her time at Braga, Efih played for Sporting de Huelva and Zaragoza CFF in Spain, following her departure from Nigeria where she featured for Edo Queens and Rivers Angels.

She has also been a part of Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, contributing to her extensive and diverse football career.
