Penalty-heroine Chiamaka Nnadozie declares readiness for shootout against England

Nigeria goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has expressed readiness for the biggest showdown against England in Monday’s FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup Round of 16 in Brisbance.
Nnadozie denied world football’s all-time leading goalscorer Christine Sinclair from the penalty spot as the Super Falcons held Olympic champions Canada to a 0-0 draw in their opening group B match in Melbourne.
A Round-of-16 clash with England beckons on Monday, and the 22-year-old is full of confidence to be up to task once if penalties shootout will the decider against the European champions.
“Penalty is a game of luck. I was lucky the other day against Canada,” Nnadozie told NigeriaFootball.
“If the game tomorrow (Monday) versus England enters penalty shootout, I’m confidence we will win.
“I trust the girls. We have good penalty takers and if not me, we other good goalkeepers ago can stop penalties too.”
