President Federation Cup: Sunshine Queens end Confluence Queens campaign as Ibom Angels pip Delta Queens

Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship side Sunshine Queens defeated Confluence Queens to book a place in the 2025 President Federation Cup quarter-final on Saturday.

Second-half goals from Mistura Olamilekan and Victory Lucky propelled the Akure-based side to victory in Benin City.

In another Round of 16 encounter, two-time finalist Ibom Angels edged Delta Queens 1-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Ugobest Osuji’s first-half penalty separated both sides.

The former Heartland Queens player converted the spot kick in the 39th minute of play.

The goal was the player second in the competition.

Abasiofon Uwah tops the goal scorer’s chart for the Orange Ladies with six ahead of Ijeoma Onweagba, who has scored five goals.
