NWFL Premiership quartet seals 2025 President Federation Cup semifinal spots

Four top-flight teams will jostle for the 2025 President Federation Cup after the conclusion of the quarter-final games on Wednesday.
Holders, Rivers Angels brighten their chance of retaining the title with a 5-4 win on penalties against Remo Stars Ladies.
Ifeoma Ikenokwalu opened scoring for the Jewels of Rivers in the 12th minute from the penalty spot after Effiong Immaculata fouled Peace Effiong.
In the 84th minute, Kafayat Bashiru equalised to take the match into penalties which was won by Tosan Blankson’s side.
They will face Ibom Angels in the semi-final in a repeat of the Group B clash during the regular season as Edwin Okon faces his former team for the third time this season.
Ibom Angels also secured a 5-4 penalty win over Heartland Queens to make it to the last four.
Okon’s side had to come from behind to take the match into penalties.
Elsewhere, Nasarawa Amazons will face Edo Queens for the third time this season as both sides won their quarter final games.
Nasarawa Amazons thrashed Sunshine Queens 4-0 thanks to goals from Aminat Bello, Bibiana Odoh, and Ayatsea Hembafan’s brace.
In Ijebu Ode, Edo Queens had to rely on Goodness Osigwe’s last-gasp goal to edge Unification FC 1-0.
