Raphael Onyedika helps Club Brugge secure Belgium Cup final spot

By Dayo Awoniyi

Raphael Onyedika and Club Brugge have successfully booked their place in the Belgium Cup final, following a 1-1 draw against Genk in the second leg of their semifinal.

With a 3-2 aggregate win, having triumphed 2-1 in the home leg, Club Brugge advanced to the final, where they will face either Anderlecht or Antwerp.

Onyedika, who played the full 90 minutes, played a pivotal role in his team’s progression.

However, the midfielder’s performance was slightly dampened by a booking in the 84th minute.

Genk’s Tolu Arokodare, who also completed the full match, could not prevent his team from being eliminated, despite his efforts.

Club Brugge’s resilient draw secured their place in the final, where they will aim to clinch the trophy.

The highly anticipated final promises to be a thrilling affair as Club Brugge looks to lift the Belgium Cup, with Onyedika and his teammates eager to make their mark.
