Rasheedat Ajibade wins Atletico Madrid’s Player of the Month award

Nigeria forward, Rasheedat Ajibade has won Atletico Madrid’s Player of the Month of March after a scintillating performance for the Spanish capital club.

The 23-year-old played a total number of five games in all competitions for Atletico Madrid in March with four in the league and a Copa de la Reina match against Granada.

The highlight of the month for the former Avaldnes forward was scoring two goals when her side edged Real Sociedad 2-1 in the league and also scoring a goal as her side earned a 3-1 win against Alhama.

In the Copa de la Reina match with Granada, Ajibade had an assist as Atletico Madrid secured a 3-0 win.

Overall, she scored three goals with an assist in five games across all competitions in the month under review.

The award is cheering news for the player after her return from the latest international break with the Nigeria senior women’s national team.

She played Super Falcons two games against Haiti and New Zealand as the nine-time African Champions won its two games during the last international window ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
