Remo Stars and Heartland FC crash out of State FA Cup

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) sides, Heartland FC and Remo Stars will not participate in the Federation Cup (FA Cup) this season.
Second-tier Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Beyond Limits knocked out their senior team, Remo Stars in the semi-final of the Ogun State FA Cup in the penalty shootout 4-5.
Chukwudi Isaac scored the first goal of the game for Beyond Limits as early as the sixth minute at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State.
The Sky Blue Stars fought back with the equaliser from Haruna Hadi in the 20th minute.
Both sides were not separated after regulation time, taking the game into penalties.
The Olumide Ajibolade’s side qualified for the final after a 5-4 win on penalties.
They will face Stormers Sports Club in the final after they later defeated Ijebu United 4-0 in the second semi-final.
Meanwhile, Heartland FC was shown the exit door for the Federation Cup ticket when they lost to third division side, Ikukuoma FC on penalties 3-2 in the Imo state FA Cup.
The final of different state FA Cups will be completed by the end of next weekend.
