By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria forward, Rinsola Babajide, showcased her prowess by scoring a goal and providing two assists to propel her Spanish Liga F side, Costa Adeje Tenerife, to a resounding 5-0 victory over Sevilla FC on Saturday.

Babajide wasted no time in making her mark on the game, setting up Brazilian Thais for the opening goal in just the second minute of play. She then doubled her team’s lead in the 24th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Jassina Blom.

Continuing her impressive display, Babajide provided an assist for Maria Estella’s de Valle to score the third goal in the 39th minute. Before halftime, Belgian Blom extended the lead further with the fourth goal, ensuring a commanding 4-0 advantage for the hosts.

Babajide wasn’t done yet, as she completed her hat trick of assists early in the second half, setting up Del Valle for the fifth goal in the 48th minute. Her stellar performance earned her a well-deserved substitution in the 78th minute, being replaced by compatriot Gift Monday after securing her third goal of the campaign.

With this outstanding display, Babajide has now accumulated seven assists in 21 league games this season, further solidifying her impact on the team.

In the match, Toni Payne made an appearance for Sevilla, coming on for Debora Garcia in the 46th minute.

Costa Adeje Tenerife’s emphatic win sees them currently occupying the ninth position in the league standings with 24 points from 21 games, while Sevilla sits in the sixth position with 33 points.
