Rio Ferdinand urges Manchester United to sign Victor Osimhen

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has emphasized the necessity for the club to acquire Victor Osimhen this summer.

The Red Devils have faced challenges in their attacking performance this season, which has adversely affected their standings in the league.

Osimhen has previously been rumored to be a target for Manchester United. Currently, he is on loan with Galatasaray, the champions of the Turkish Super Lig.

The 26-year-old has previously indicated his ambition to compete in the Premier League.

Ferdinand is confident that the striker could address the attacking issues faced by his former team.

“We need Osimhen; we require experience and a proven goal-scorer who can mentor the young forwards at Manchester United. If I were in charge, I would ensure this transfer happens,” the Premier League icon stated on his podcast, Rio Ferdinand Presents.

“I seek a player who is well-versed in navigating the pitch at an elite level and consistently finding the back of the net. I want him here immediately. Although Osimhen has yet to play in the Premier League, I believe he has the ability to score wherever he plays.”
