By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
Nigeria forward Roosa Ariyo was on the scoresheet as her Belgian Super League Women side, Club Brugge secured a 3-0 win over Femina Woluwe on Saturday.
The goal was her seventh in the Belgian topflight this season for Club Brugge since she joined the Belgian side from Spanish Liga F outfit, Real Betis in June 2022.
After a drab goalless first half, the keenly contested encounter seem destined for a draw before Davinia Vanmechelen broke the deadlock in the 75th minute.
Immediately after the restart, the visitors were handed another chance from the penalty spot to double their lead and Jana Simons didn’t make any mistakes as she scored Club Brugge’s second goal moments later.
In the closing stages, the Nigeria international completed the riot for the visitors when she struck in the additional time.
With the win, Club Brugge occupy the fifth position on the log with 32 points after 17 games and also marks the third  straight victory for Club Brugge since a 5-1 loss to Leuven on December 17, 2022.
Up next is a league encounter with Genk on February 26 after the international break.
