Rumor Mill: Valencia table final loan bid for Sadiq Umar

By Oluwadamilola Olaleye

The future of Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar remains up in the air, but Valencia are reportedly making a last-ditch attempt to lure him back to the Mestalla.

With Real Sociedad open to his departure and the player not in coach Sergio Francisco’s plans, Los Che have revived their pursuit, submitting a fresh €1 million loan proposal.

The Basque club are currently reviewing the offer while also holding talks with Sadiq’s representatives.

The 27-year-old forward, who has been linked with several European clubs, is said to favour a move to Valencia.

However, Sociedad have so far been unconvinced by the terms put forward, sparking fears that he could be forced to stay at Anoeta.

A final decision on the deal is expected over the weekend. While other suitors remain in the mix, Sadiq’s preference for Valencia puts pressure on both clubs to strike an agreement that works for all parties.
