Rumour Mill: Crystal Palace preparing bid to sign Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge

English Premier League (EPL) side Crystal Palace are showing keen interest in signing Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika this summer.

The Super Eagles’ midfield enforcer has been with Belgian giants Club Brugge since 2022, following his move from Danish side FC Midtjylland.

Onyedika was instrumental in Club Brugge’s Jupiler League title-winning campaign, contributing four goals and the same number of assists in the recently concluded season.

His impressive performances have caught the attention of Crystal Palace, who are looking to bolster their midfield for the upcoming season. Negotiations with Club Brugge may begin soon.

“Onyedika could be on his way to the English Premier League. There has been interest, mainly from Crystal Palace for now,” a member of Onyedika’s family disclosed to completesports.com in Uyo. “But that, of course, depends on the player and his agent. For sure, Crystal Palace are keen to have him on their payroll this summer.”

Onyedika featured in both of Nigeria’s recent World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, scoring in the team’s 2-1 loss to the Squirrels on Monday.
