Rumour Mills: Chukwueze up for La Liga return as Real Betis open talks with AC Milan

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze could be set for a return to La Liga, with Spanish side Real Betis reportedly in talks with AC Milan over a summer transfer.

Chukwueze, 25, is among the players expected to leave the Rossoneri during the upcoming window, following an underwhelming stint at the San Siro.

Since joining from Villarreal in 2023 for €21.1 million, he has registered eight goals and eight assists in 69 appearances across all competitions.

Real Betis are said to be keen on strengthening their flanks after the departure of Brazilian winger Antony, who returned to Manchester United following a short-term loan.

The La Liga club views Chukwueze as a viable replacement, and negotiations are reportedly underway between both clubs.

A return to Spanish football would mark a familiar chapter for Chukwueze, who spent five seasons at Villarreal before his move to Serie A.

With AC Milan looking to reshape their squad under a new manager, Chukwueze could be among several players shown the exit door this summer.
