English Premier League side Nottingham Forest is optimistic about securing a new long-term contract for Nigerian defender Ola Aina before the end of the current season.
Aina’s current deal is set to expire this summer, but talks between the club and the player’s representatives are reportedly progressing well, according to The Athletic.
The 28-year-old has been in impressive form for Forest this season, scoring twice in 27 league appearances. Aina joined the club on a free transfer in July 2023 and extended his contract for one year last summer.
With negotiations advancing, Forest are hopeful that Aina will commit to a new deal to continue his successful run with the club.
