Rumour Mills: Wilfred Ndidi set to join Taiwo Awoniyi at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are reportedly set to submit an official bid to Leicester City for the signing of Nigerian defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
Ndidi got relegated with the Foxes following an abysmal campaign last season.
The 26-year-old joined the Foxes in 2017 from Belgian side Gent and enjoyed many remarkable seasons in the Premier League and used to be one of the best defensive midfielders in the world two years ago before injury relegated him to loss of form.
The former Gent man is currently in the last year of his contract and is now of interest to the Tricky Trees, who already employ the services of another Super Eagles star in Taiwo Awoniyi.
Ndidi has been linked with Bayern Munich, Celtic, and Turkish club Fenerbahce, but nothing concrete has emerged from those talks.
According to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest are preparing to submit a bid for the former Genk midfielder.
The Nigerian is worth €25million according to Transfermarkt and is said to be the top target for Steve Cooper’s side.
If Ndidi joins, he will become the fourth Super Eagles player at Nottingham Forest after Taiwo Awoniyi, Emmanuel Dennis, and Ola Aina.
The Nigerian midfielder is reported to have already agreed on personal terms with Forest and is keen on the move.
Leicester have won all four of their Championship games this season and Ndidi has started in three of those games and came on as a substitute in one.
