Sadiq Umar’s equalizer earns Valencia draw against Villarreal

Nigerian forward Sadiq Umar scored his first goal for Valencia, securing a crucial point for the La Liga side in their 1-1 draw against Villarreal on Saturday.

Sadiq, who joined Valencia on loan from Real Sociedad during the winter transfer window, came off the bench in the 55th minute to replace Hugo Duro.

The home side had taken the lead in the 32nd minute through Gueye, but Sadiq’s equalizing goal in the 84th minute ensured that Valencia earned a valuable point from the encounter.

Sadiq’s impressive performance off the bench will be a welcome boost for Valencia, who are looking to climb the league table.
