Fulham returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Sunderland at Craven Cottage in challenging, torrential conditions.
The hosts started brightly, showing intent and attacking purpose. Alex Iwobi came close early with an ambitious bicycle kick from the edge of the box, but Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs was equal to the effort.
Fulham continued to press, and substitute Samuel Chukwueze made an immediate impact. His first teasing cross from the left found Raúl, who headed just wide.
Seven minutes from time, Chukwueze delivered another precise cross, this time finding Raúl perfectly positioned to head home the decisive goal.
Despite opportunities to extend their lead, Fulham held on to secure a vital win. The victory lifted the spirits of the home fans, who celebrated enthusiastically in the rain as their team returned to form.
