By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria forward Sarah Michael found the net against her former team, Mallbacken, despite Lidkoping losing the match 4-1 in a Swedish Elitettan clash on Saturday.

The visitors took control early, starting with an own goal in the 39th minute. Andrea Staum Eriksson then scored twice, making it 3-0 before Ida Halstensson added a fourth goal in the 56th minute.

Sarah Michael entered the game shortly after the fourth goal and managed to pull one back for Lidkoping in the 62nd minute, marking her second goal in 17 league appearances this season.

However, with the defeat, Lidkoping remains in the relegation zone, sitting on 17 points after 20 games.

They will look to bounce back in their next match against Uppsala on September 28, 2024.
