Saudi Arabia defeated on Mancini debut

Roberto Mancini made his debut on the Saudi Arabia nationwide staff bench with a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Costa Rica in Newcastle.

The pleasant match was performed at St. James’ Park on Friday night.

Francisco Calvo opened the scoring after 12 minutes, adopted by Manfred Ugalde.

Ali Albulayhi received one again for Saudi Arabia, however Randall Leal sealed the scoreline late on.

The sport happened in virtually an empty enviornment with barely anybody current.

Mancini resigned from the Italy job on August 13 and inside a few weeks had signed a contract with the Saudi soccer federation till 2027, reported to be value over €20m per 12 months.

He was changed by Luciano Spalletti, who will make his debut for Italy in tomorrow’s EURO 2024 qualifier towards North Macedonia in Skopje.
