Saudi Pro League: William Troost-Ekong assists in Al Kholood’s comeback win

William Troost-Ekong, captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, played a crucial role in Al Kholood’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.

The Super Eagles defender provided the assist for Myziane Maolida’s stoppage-time goal, which sealed the win for the visitors in a thrilling Matchday 14 encounter.

Troost-Ekong, who has been a constant presence in Al Kholood’s defense this season, played the full 90 minutes. This assist marks his second goal involvement in as many games.

The victory moves Noureddine Zekri’s side out of the relegation zone, providing a much-needed boost in their fight for survival. Al Kholood will next face Al Ahli in their Matchday 15 fixture on Wednesday.
