“He should take it” – Yobo urges Manchester United to secure Victor Osimhen move

By Wale Mustapha

Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo has urged Manchester United to secure the signing of Victor Osimhen, emphasizing that the Nigerian striker would be an excellent fit for the Premier League giants.

Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray from Napoli, has been the subject of ongoing speculation linking him with a move to United.

There is a break-up clause in his contract that allows him to join another club this month, and Yobo believes the Red Devils should seize the opportunity to bring him to Old Trafford.

“For me, it’s a no-brainer. Victor and Manchester United are a perfect fit, and there’s no doubt he would thrive if they signed him,” Yobo told Africa Foot.

“Even though they’re struggling in the transition, Manchester United are still among the top three clubs in the world, and that’s not going to change anytime soon.”

Yobo, who captained Nigeria during his playing career, further stressed the potential appeal of joining United, especially under the management of new coach Ruben Amorim.

“Their project is exciting with a new coach in Amorim, who is one of the best of his generation. If Amorim wants to trust Victor to be one of the leaders of this project in transition, yes, I think he shouldn’t think twice, he should take it.”

Osimhen has been in sensational form for Galatasaray this season, scoring 13 goals in 16 matches across all competitions, further fueling the growing interest from top clubs like Manchester United.
