By Monsurah Olatunji

Saudi Pro League side Al-Okhdood has confirmed the signing of Nigeria winger, Saviour Godwin from Portuguese Primeira Liga.
The 27-year-old becomes the latest to move to the Middle-East country, joining Odion Ighalo (Al-Wehda), Henry Onyekuru (Al-Fayha) and Anthony Nwakaeme (Al-Fayha) in the Saudi Pro League for the 2023/24 season.
The one-cap Nigeria international becomes Al-Okhdood’s seventh foreign signing after Cameroonian forward Léandre Tawamba, Spaniard Álex Collado, Colombian Sebastián Pedroza, Brazilian Paulo Vitor, Georgian Solomon Kvirkvelia, and Romanian Andrei Burcă.
The 2013 U17 World Cup winner represented Portuguese Primera Liga club Casa Pia AC and he was able to contribute his quotas to the stability of the club.
Godwin was an influential player in Casa Pia’s promotion to the top flight of Portuguese football and has departed the club with 102 appearances under his belt in all competitions, scoring 24 goals while producing fourteen assists.
With one year left on his contract with Casa Pia deal, Saviour signed a 2-year deal to join Saudi Pro League for €2.5 million.
