Sean Dyche confident of Iwobi staying at Everton

Everton boss, Sean Dyche is confident that Alex Iwobi will not be leaving the club at the end of the season.

The Nigeria midfielder has been an integral part of Everton this season and Dyche wouldn’t like the Nigerian leave Goodison Park.

Talks between Iwobi’s representatives and Everton haven’t seen the light of the day as no agreement have been reached by both parties.

The Toffees boss said Iwobi is happy at the club and played down any speculation linking him away from the club.

“Well I’ve seen him today and he seems to be quite happy today (Friday),” Dyche said.

“I can only go off what my eyes are telling me and what I feel it telling me. I think it’s unlikely, I’d suggest.”

The 26-year-old has six assists and one goal to his name this season in 25 matches for the Toffees.  Everton will play host to Brentford at the 39,572 capacity Goodison Park on the 11th of March 2023.

Ranked 18th position in the Premier League table with 22 points from 26 matches, Everton are swimming in relegation waters as they need to salvage their ailing season.
