Senate President confirms Kawu Sumaila as new chairman of Senate sports committee

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has confirmed the appointment of Senator Kawu Sumaila as the new chairman of Sports Committee in the tenth assembly.

Senator Akpabio confirmed Sumaila’s appointment on Tuesday along with other committees that will steer the affairs of the Senate.

Senator Sumaila, is expected to play a key role in protecting the interests of Nigerian athletes and promoting sports development in a country.

This appointment reflects the Senate’s commitment to promoting a vibrant sporting culture and providing opportunities for talented young athletes to shine.

The Senate President however urged Senator Kawu Sumaila to live upto the expectations of the 10th Senate reposed on him.
