Soccer Queens set to reward Nigeria Women’s Football League players and officials

Soccer Queens are set to reward outstanding players and officials at its maiden award ceremony following a successful 2022/2023 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season across three tiers.
The Soccer Queens Award is poised to reward players and officials who performed excellently well for their clubs in the Premiership, Championship and Nationwide of the Nigeran women’s football league.
The non-governmental initiative with women’s football at heart are aiming to appreciate the efforts of the players and officials at their respective levels during the recently concluded 2022-23 football season.
A women’s football advocate and enthusiast, Moses Bako, said the award is to celebrate outstanding individuals in the NWFL and Reward accomplishments.
Bako, who is holds an incredible passion for women’s football and an unquenchable drive for women’s football development, believes the award will further increase the hard work, dedication, and commitment of players.
The award is scheduled to take place in Benin City, Edo state later this year with notable stakeholders and top stars names in the women’s league to be in attendance.
Players and officials of outstanding teams in the various women’s leagues, including Premiership champions, Delta Queens, newly promoted teams, Lakeside Queens and Dannaz Ladies from the Championship as well the two promoted sides from the third-tier NWFL Nationwide, Gallant Queens and Kaduna Queens will be recognized.
Soccer Queens had recently organised its maiden cup tournament for women’s football teams at the grassroots level in Lokoja with Imo Strikers winning the title leading to the emergence of a youngster, Achifula Harmony.
