Super Eagles B join 16 others in qualifying for CHAN 2024

Nigeria National Team B defeated Ghana 3-1 last Saturday to book a place at the delayed 2024 Championship of African Nations (CHAN).

It will be the first time that Nigeria will qualify for the tournament since 2018 when they reached the final in Morocco.

They joined 16 other teams in qualifying for he competition slates to take place in February 2025.

Niger Republic and Burkina Faso are the other two West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) representatives at the tournament.

CECAFA (East Africa) have four representatives as Sudan joined co-host, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania at the mundial.

Morocco is the only confirmed qualified team from North Africa.

UNIFFAC (Central Africa) will have Central Africa Republic (CAR), Congo, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as flag bearers.

Angola, Zambia, and Madagascar from COSAFA (Southern Africa) complete the qualified teams.

The last two teams to make up the tournament will be determined later as Confederation of African Football (CAF) prepare to organize another CHAN tournament for home based players with valid contract with clubs.
