Super Lig: “He never gives up” – Galatasaray captain hails Osimhen’s impact in Rizespor win

By Wale Mustapha

Galatasaray captain Fernando Muslera has praised Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for his brilliant performance in their 2-1 win over Rizespor on Monday.

Osimhen netted both goals in the dramatic Super Lig clash, securing the victory for the Yellow and Reds.

Since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last summer, Osimhen has been a standout performer, scoring 12 goals in 18 league appearances this season.

Muslera, who was full of admiration for Osimhen’s work ethic and determination, highlighted how the forward’s persistence was crucial in the win.

“He really puts in a lot of effort and fights every minute. He never gives up. We are all grateful to play with a player like him,” Muslera said, speaking on the club’s official website.

The captain went on to praise the team’s collective effort, noting that their support for Osimhen played a significant role in their success.

“We knew we would achieve something as a result of supporting him. Today, he scored the goals that brought us victory.

“The second half allowed us to find ourselves even better and to score very effectively from a dead ball.”

With Osimhen’s clinical performance continuing to make an impact, Galatasaray’s title hopes remain strong as they continue their charge toward the Super Lig championship.
