Super Lig: Paul Onuachu helps Trabzonspor to remarkable triumph over Fenerbache

Nigerian striker, Paul Onuachu was on target in Trabzonspor’s 3-2 famous win over Fenerbache in the Turkish Super Lig contest on Saturday.

The Super Eagles’ forward who has been sensational since his arrival at the club gave the visitors a 10 minute lead when he latched onto a delivery from Edin Visca.

Onuachu’s goal, his fourth in seven games handed Trabzonspor a crucial first half lead.  The visitors stretched their lead to 2-0 a minute after the restart when Berat Ozdemir capitalized on a let off in Fenerbache defense.

Ivorian striker, Nicholas Pepe took it beyond the reach of Fenerbache with the third goal for Trabzonspor in less than 60 seconds of their second goal.

Dusan Tadic converted a 61st spot kick for Fenerbache handing them a hope comeback.

It became worst for Fenerbache in the 78th minutes when they were reduced to 10 men following a second booking to Ismail Yüksek.

Tadic scored another goal for Fenerbache, also from the spot but was not enough to stop their 21 matches unbeaten streak as Trabzonspor held on to record a famous win at Istanbul.

The result leaves Fenerbahçe second on 30 points, one behind leaders Galatasary while Trabzonspor climbed to fourth on 19 points with their sixth win of the season.
