Taiwo Awoniyi reveals shocking reason behind not celebrating his Premier League goals

By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria international, Taiwo Awoniyi has revealed the shocking reason behind his no goal-celebration policy in the English Premier League.
The Nottingham Forest hitman has scored three goals and assisted one in his four Premier League appearances this season. The former Union Berlin forward also became the third African player in Premier League history to score in seven successive matches joining Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Togo’s Emmanuel Adebayor.
However, he doesn’t celebrate much like other players do especially when scoring against some of the big guns in the league as the 26-year-old has scored against Arsenal, Manchester United, and assisted the goal against Chelsea while also finding the back of the net against Sheffield United.
The Super Eagles star he doesn’t celebrate when he scored because he goes into every game knowing he will score.
“To be honest, it’s not intentional because when you understand this is meant to happen, it happens. It’s just more of a thing you’ve seen happening,” he told Fans Tribe.
“It’s just like what is supposed to be and even when people don’t see it happening, you’ve already known. You’ve seen it ahead. So, when it happens, that calmness is just there.”
