Transfer Update: Chelsea owner establishes contact with Victor Osimhen’s agent

Cco-owner of Chelsea has revealed that a contact has been made to the agent of Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen over possible move to Stamford Bridge, a source has hinted.
The source disclosed that Chelsea co-owner, Behdad Eghbali reached out to Osimhen’s representative in a bid to tighten up the relationship and reach a solid ground in securing his services.
The Blues are preparing to ignite Osimhen’s release clause valued around €120m to see him end up at Stamford Bridge.
The source revealed that the discussion between Eghbali and Osimhen’s agent ended positively with the striker also open to joining the Premier League giants.
“I understand Chelsea have had contact with Osimhen’s entourage in recent weeks/days to discuss the possibility of the Napoli striker joining Chelsea,” source told media.
“The feedback they have had is positive, with there being an understanding that Osimhen would be open to joining Chelsea.
“Behdad Eghbali has initiated this contact and now has good relations with Osimhen’s agent.
“Now, that doesn’t mean Chelsea are 100% signing Osimhen, and it doesn’t mean that he would also not be open to joining other clubs if they come in.”
With Napoli’s poor start to the season, it is highly doubtful that a move for the Super Eagles marksman will be achievable this month.
The Serie A defending champions will be without their key striker for the next couple of games as he is set to represent Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.
