U20 Afcon: Flying Eagles continue scintillating build up with big friendly win

The Nigeria U20 national team, Flying Eagles extended their scintillating form on Thursday as they beat AA Zaura Boys of Kano 8-1 in their latest preparation test match for next year’s U20 AFCON in Egypt.

The Eagles have played three friendly matches before today scoring 17 goals and conceded no goal; Paul E. Sports Football Academy (5-0), Capital City (5-0) and Keffi Selected (7-0).

The cadet Eagles led 6-1 at halftime, making it the first time they conceded a goal since they resumed training camp in Abuja last week.

Striker Ayuba Francis fired a brace with Ojora Mustapha, captain Yahaya Ibrahim, Aminu Mohammed, Shettima Umar and Olawwiyole Mathew also getting on the scoreboard.

The 2023 U20 AFCON will hold between 18th February to 12th March, where all Semi-finalists automatically qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup.
