U20 Afcon: Flying Eagles to play Benin, South Sudan in Egypt 2023 build up

Nigeria U20 men’s national team are set for friendly match-ups against Benin Republic and South Sudan as they continue preparation for the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt later this month.
NigeriaFootball.ng had earlier  reported that the Flying Eagles will be traveling to Morocco via Accra, Ghana on Wednesday for a training tour ahead of the competition following a surprise change in travel plans.
Ladan Bosso’s side are play its two warm-up games in Morocco before heading to Egypt, with dates and venues for the two games are yet to be finalized.
Benin Republic and South Sudan are both Egypt-bound, as part of the 12 countries that will compete for the title at the 2023 U-20 Afcon.
Before jetting out to Morocco, the seven times African champions defeated Zambia 4-2 in a friendly at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja last week.
Nigeria is in Group A with hosts Egypt, Mozambique, and Senegal. The tournament will double as Africa’s qualifiers for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup slated for  Indonesia as the top four teams will qualify for the World Cup.
