By Saheed Afolabi
Nigeria U20 captain, Oluchi Ohaegbulem has revealed that the team’s target remains qualifying for the U20 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
The Falconets had forced a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Dar es Salaam a torrid time deflecting past their opponent in Abuja with a 2-1 victory against the Tanzanians.
Nigeria skipper, Ohaegbulem believes the players determined and focused on getting the needed result on the game while battling the Tanzanians pound for pound.
“Well the Tanzanians, we actually respected them the last time we played them in their home ground, playing here in our home, we surely have the courage and we believe we were going to win because this is our home ground,” the Nasarawa Amazons told the Press.
“We took advantage of our home ground, we were determined, we were focused that we were going to get the three points. They (Tanzania) were physically strong and also we were physically strong and we marked them with same strength. We actually followed them with the same pace they brought.
“Our target is Colombia and we are not taking any chances.  We are actually going to double our efforts against Burundi, we have won this, we are not relenting. So we have to double our efforts to get more points, more goals.”
