Uefa tout Asisat Oshoala ‘best striker in the world’ with Barcelona form

Five-time African player of the year, Asisat Oshoala has received a massive shout-out from the Union of European Football Association (UEFA) following her red-hot form this season for Barcelona.
Oshoala has scored 18 goals in her last 11 matches in all competitions for Barça Femení and currently tops the Spanish liga femenina (Liga F) with 19 goals in 19 games.
The ‘Agba Baller’ as she is fondly called by Barcelona fans, has scored 23 goals in 24 matches and provided four assists in all competitions this campaign.
The 28-year-old started the month of March with her 19th league goal after a back-to-back hat trick last month.
As it stands, the Nigerian striker has scored at least one goal in each of her last nine league matches as she retained her place in the Barcelona starting lineup.
The Nigerian international was left out of the nominees’ list for the FIFA Best Women’s player award and was overlooked by France Football (Ballon d’Or organizers).
However, UEFA took to their women’s Champions League Twitter handle to salute Oshoala for her impressive form.

Barcelona, who are unbeaten in the league this season, top the league table with 60 points and are five points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid.
