UWCL: Chiamaka Nnadozie pleased to end the year 2023 on high note with Paris FC

2023 African Best Goalkeeper of the Year, Chiamaka Nnadozie has expressed joy after helping Paris FC to beat Real Madrid in the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) on Thursday.
The Super Falcons safe hands made a crucial penalty save in the first leg and was pivotal in the second leg win as she made three saves and also won three of her duels to keep a clean sheet.
The 25-year-old was awarded the Player of the Match award as Paris FC still harbors hopes of progression.
The Nigerian international is excited to end 2023 with a clean sheet while appreciating the support of the fans.
“Plus three clean sheets. Great away win in Madrid and an incredible way to end the year. I give God all the glory. A big thanks to our traveling fans,” she wrote on her X account.
Nnadozie has saved four penalties combined in the UWCL, there of which came during the qualifying playoffs.
She saved two penalties against last season’s UWCL semifinalist, Arsenal, and went on to save another one against last season’s finalist, Wolfsburg, to qualify her team to the group stage for the first time ever, before saving another one against Real Madrid to secure Paris FC first ever win.
