Victor Adeoye named Federation Cup MVP, dedicates award to Kwara United teammates

Kwara United midfielder Victor Adeoye has been named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2025 President Federation Cup after a series of standout performances that helped his side clinch a historic first national title.

Adeoye, a key figure in Kwara United’s midfield, featured in all six matches of the campaign, anchoring the defense and providing crucial stability that contributed to the club’s success.

Reacting to the individual accolade, Adeoye was quick to credit his teammates for their collective effort and resilience throughout the tournament.

“This award is not just for me. I dedicate it to my teammates for their sacrifice, total commitment, and loyalty to the club,” Adeoye said. “Nobody gave us a chance, but we thank God for guiding us to this long-awaited victory — the first national silverware in Kwara State’s history.”

Praised for his consistency, leadership, and defensive contributions, Adeoye’s performances were widely acknowledged by fans and pundits, elevating him as one of the standout players of the tournament.

Looking ahead, the midfielder is focused on maintaining his form as Kwara United prepare for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season and a debut campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.

“I will keep working hard to sustain this form going into the new season,” Adeoye added. “The CAF Confederation Cup is a big task, and we are determined to surpass our previous records on the continent.”

Adeoye’s MVP recognition caps off a memorable campaign for Kwara United, who now aim to build on their domestic success and make an impact on the continental stage.
