Victor Boniface to battle Camavinga, Enzo Fernandez, others for Globe Soccer Award

Bayer Leverkusen’s forward, Victor Boniface, has been nominated for the ‘Emerging Player of the Year’ honor at the upcoming 2023 Globe Soccer Awards.
Boniface is one of the 26 players nominated for this year’s award after an incredible campaign for both club and country.
The 22-year-old was named Bundesliga Player of the Month for August and has won the Rookie of the Month prize for three consecutive months.
The Super Eagles star won the Europa League top scorer award which earned him a move from Royale Union SG to Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen.
His remarkable season at Bay Arena has seen him tally 11 goals and provide six assists in 16 appearances across various competitions.
The Nigerian international faces tough opposition from Moisés Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Cesare Casadei, Rasmus Højlund, Eduardo Camavinga, Arda Güler, Jude Bellingham, Alejandro Balde, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Gavi, Jamal Musiala, Evan Ferguson, Joško Gvardiol, Jeremy Doku, and Xavi Simons.
Boniface will hope to scoop the award that was previously claimed by his compatriot, Victor Osimhen in 2022 for his exceptional performance with SSC Napoli, the reigning champions of Serie A.
