Super Eagles forward, Victor Moses, has conveyed his disappointment after Chelsea settled for a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid in their final Group C UEFA Champions League game at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. Chelsea had to come from behind to secure the draw, with Atletico dropping into the Europa League.
After a goalless first half, Atletico took the lead in the 56th minute through Saul Niguez. However, with 15 minutes remaining, Chelsea leveled the scoreline as Stefan Savic scored an own goal.
Following the draw, Chelsea finished with 11 points, equal to AS Roma but secured the second position in the group, trailing behind the Serie A club on goals difference. Moses, who played the full 90 minutes in the game, took to Twitter on Wednesday to praise his teammates for their fighting spirit despite the disappointment.
“Disappointed to not take all three points but we never stop fighting,” Moses wrote, highlighting the team’s resilience and determination in the face of challenges.
