Victor Moses Exultant After Securing Aiteo/NFF Best Player Accolade

In a moment of triumph, Super Eagles luminary and Chelsea maestro Victor Moses expressed sheer delight as he was bestowed with the prestigious AITEO-NFF Football Awards Player of the Year, revealed in an official statement by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). The distinguished honor was presented to Moses by NFF’s second Vice-President, Shehu Dikko, at the esteemed Chelsea Football Club grounds in South West London.
During the ceremonial presentation, Moses radiated genuine enthusiasm, encapsulating the significance of the accolade. The football virtuoso, in a statement, conveyed his elation, stating, “I am simply over the moon with this award. It means that the country and the people really appreciate the little we are doing for the national team.” He further articulated his commitment to elevating Nigeria’s stature in global football, expressing, “I am looking forward to doing much more for Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.”
Although Moses had been named the laureate of the award in Lagos in February, his physical presence to collect the accolade had been amiss. His notable feat as the top scorer with three goals for the Super Eagles in the African qualifying series for the 2018 World Cup in Russia undoubtedly contributed to the acclaim he now receives.
This recognition not only underscores Moses’ individual prowess but also serves as a testament to the collective appreciation for his contributions to the national team. As Nigeria anticipates the FIFA World Cup, the nation collectively shares in Moses’ enthusiasm for the journey ahead.
