Victor Osimhen hits double figure goals for Galatasaray as Anthony Dennis bags assist for Goztepe

Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen scored from the penalty spot to help Turkish side, Galatasaray to a 2-1 win against Goztepe in a league encounter on Saturday.

It took the first 10 minutes for the host to go ahead as Djalma Silva aggressive fouled Alper Akarsu inside the box resulting into a penalty.

Osimhen sent Mateusz Los the wrong way from the resulting penalty into the middle of the goal to open the scoring.

17 minutes later, Goztepe equalised with another Nigerian having a hand in the leveler.

Romulo received a pass from Nigeria’s Anthony Dennis in the 27th minute as the Brazilian produced a terrific shot that went in off the left post, leaving Fernando Muslera stranded.

Yunus Akgun scored the winner for Galatasaray in the 61st minute at the Rams Park, Istanbul.

Osimhen was replaced by Michy Batshuayi in the 87th minute after scoring his 10th league goal of the season.

He has also provided three assists from 12 league games.

Dennis on the other hand came out for Ahmed IIdiz in the 89th minute after providing his first assist of the league season.

Galatasaray opened up an 11 points lead at the top of log with 47 points after 17 games.

Second placed, Fenerbahce has 36 points after 16 games.

Goztepe on the other hand has 28 points in 17 games and occupy the fifth position.
