Victor Osimhen: Napoli striker honored with best player of the year award

The outstanding performance of NNapoli striker, Victor Osimhen in the 2022 under review has earned him a prestigious Player of the Year award.

Osimhen was honored with the award by the Dubai Sports Council at the its 13th Dubai Globe Soccer Awards held in Dubai on 17 November 2022.

International football stars and top world celebrities were guests at the annual award reception where 21 categories of award were presented to eventual winners.

The Nigeria striker, who is having fantastic season in Serie A and has established himself as one of the rising stars in world football won the newly introduced Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year sponsored by Power Horse.

The 24 year old was unable to attend the award held in Dubai but the organizers decided to hold the awarding ceremony in Osimhen’s current hometown of Naples.

CEO of Power Horse, Salvatore Caizzone was joined by Sporting Director of SSC Napoli, Cristiano Giuntoli and Enrico Bendoni of Globe Soccer to present the Award to the winner.

According to Caizzone, he said “We at Power Horse are delighted that Victor Osimhen is recognised as the winner of the Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year award, and wish him to become even more unstoppable in the future.

The Globe Soccer Awards is an event that has been taken place every year in Dubai since 2010 to recognise not only the best players and coaches but also all the professionals who work behind the scenes in the world of international football.

The great success of the event over the years has meant that new categories are regularly added to the list of prizes to be awarded, and the event today can boast of being able to truly reward all the best in global football.
