Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen scored a penalty as Turkish side Galatasaray surrendered a three-goal lead in the UEFA European League on Tuesday.
The clash between the two sides ended in a 3-3 draw at the Rams Park, Istanbul.
Goals from Davinson Sanchez, Abdulkerim Bardakci and Osimhen’s penalty were not enough to eat victory for the Turkish side.
Osimhen scored the third goal for Galatasaray from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute.
A brace from Andriy Yarmolenko and Vladyslav Vanat ensured that both sides shared spoils.
Osimhen received a yellow card in the 84th minute with the scoreline at 3-3.
The goal made it Osimhen’s fourth in five UEFA Europa League games this season with an assist.
His team occupy the fifth position with 13 points after seven games behind Lazio, Athletic Bilbao, Anderlecht, and Lyon.
They will next welcome Konyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on January 25, 2025.
