Victor Osimhen has been commended for his improved attitude and maturity following his actions during Napoli’s 3-0 Serie A bashing of Cremonese on Sunday.
Despite his impressive exploits in Italy, Osimhen occasionally has made headlines for the wrong reasons, with the Parthenopeans needing to help the Super Eagle overcome his problems which could mar his promising career,
On February 6, the Nigerian had climbed through the perimeter fence into the crowd yesterday to apologies to a young girl who was unintentionally hitting by his shot during his warm-up in the clash with Spezia.
Following his action, Napoli manager, Luciano Spalletti has hailed the Super Eagle for his good character.
“There was an incident today where the lads could’ve had a different reaction, but instead they stayed calm and carried on,” Spalletti was quoted by football Italia.
“We have to realize that we get what the referee gives us and the rest is not for us to think about,” explained the coach.
“We just have to keep going and when we’re 2-0 up, we seek the third goal, because that will let us be more relaxed and safe.”
Osimhen scored Napoli’s second goal in the 3-0 victory game and the Nigeria international has now netted 17 times in 18 league appearances for the Partenopei this season.
