Victor Osimhen opens up on his frustration after three-match goal drought

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has expressed his disappointment over his goal drought while reflecting on his performance in Napoli’s 2-1 win against Portuguese club, SC Braga on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old has now endured a three-game scoreless streak, failing to find the net in consecutive matches against Lazio, Genoa, and Sporting de Braga, despite scoring three goals in his first two games of the campaign.
However, he grabbed an assist in the UEFA Champions League encounter at the Estadio Municipal de Braga.
Despite not finding the back of the net for Napoli the Super Eagles star was adjudged to be the Player of the Match by UEFA’s Technical Observer Panel and the Super Eagle feels it was strange to end another game without scoring.
“It’s strange to end a game without scoring. I’m a striker and strikers live for goals,” the Super Eagles striker told UEFA website.
“But it’s not something that bothers me too much because it’s already happened and I’m prepared for it. It’s not just with goals that you help the team and I’m always ready to help in other ways.”
